Ministers are making ready for talks with rail union chiefs this week in a bid to persuade them to name off “debilitating” Christmas practice strikes.
Greater than 40,000 RMT members throughout Community Rail and 14 practice working firms will stroll out on December 13, 14, 16 and 17 and on January 3, 4, 6 and seven.
There may also be an additional time ban throughout the railways from December 18 to January 2, making it tougher for practice firms to finalize schedules and inflicting “most disruption”…
